Ready, steady, go! Katowice Business Run

Starting pistol shot and…. They started a run! 1 850 runners ran last Sunday, 4 September, in the charity race Katowice Business Run. Among them was 80 people from ING Services Polska (ISP). Our company was the main sponsor of the event.

The Sunday event was a part of Poland Business Run - the largest charity run in Poland. 5-persons relays cover a distance of nearly 20 km in 7 major Polish cities. In edition 2016 the collected money was over one million PLN! It is all to help people in need to buy the prostheses.  ING Services Poland has been involved in this initiative for the fourth time.

"It's great that we can help people in need and have fun at the same time " - said Marta Łukasiewicz, ISP runner. " I ran in Katowice Business Run for the first time this year. The atmosphere during the entire event was phenomenal. A beautiful, sunny weather had certainly a huge impact on it, but also the opportunity to meet colleagues in informal situation. I’m getting ready for next year's race already. "- Marta added.

Special congratulations for the “Drink Team” – they took 13th place of 365 teams in the Katowice competition and the highest place among our company teams!

“It was a tough race, mostly because of the number of runners on route.” - said Piotr Treska, who achieved the best result in ISP. “I had to be careful to not fall for the others, so a couple of times I broke hard. I was really in a hurry, as on the same day I was running a halfmarathon. So I had to run fast to catch the next start. I really like running in Katowice Business Run, because I like the noble aim of this action. I hope that from one year to another there will be more and more runners taking part in the similar events "- he added with a smile.

Congratulations to all the runners. See you at the starting line next year!
